BENCHMARK / DESIGN START · PLANNED OFFERING

You design.
Benchmark builds.

Start with a $99 one-time fee to work on your website’s design. When you’re ready, hand it to Benchmark for a design review, a scoped completion quote and the technical work that brings it to life.

In development. Design workspace access is not open yet. The $99 one-time fee includes the handoff review. The design period and included credit allowance will be confirmed before payment. Inquiries are welcome; no payment is collected here.

YOUR VISION. OUR DEVELOPMENT.

Shape the look. We’ll handle the build.

01 / DESIGN

Make it feel like your business.

Use the planned design workspace to explore layout, colors, content and the overall look within an agreed time and credit allowance. You can also bring an existing design from another tool for compatibility review.

02 / REVIEW & QUOTE

Agree on what happens next.

Benchmark reviews your design, identifies improvements and confirms the features behind each page. You receive a scoped completion quote before backend development begins.

03 / BUILD & LAUNCH

Hand the work to Benchmark.

After you approve the quote, we refine the agreed design, build the required functionality, test the customer experience and prepare your site for an approved launch.

A SMALL FIRST STEP

One design-start fee.
A clear handoff.

Your $99 design-start fee includes the handoff design review. The full $99 is credited toward your approved Benchmark build. There is no separate handoff review fee.

$99 one time

One time. Backend and completion work quoted separately after review.

You approve the design fee and included allowance before starting. You approve the build scope, total price and schedule before Benchmark takes over. Starting a design does not commit you to purchasing the full build.

GUIDANCE INCLUDED / PLANNED WORKSPACE

You bring the ideas. We help you get started.

You do not need design experience or technical prompting skills. The planned $99 Design Start experience includes a guided walkthrough and one remote orientation of up to 15 minutes.

Start with your business.

Answer a few questions about your goals and preferred style, then choose a starting layout. Simple choices help you shape colors, content and features.

Practice before using credits.

A short guided practice introduces editing, saving and undoing without using your paid design credits. Your paid design period begins after onboarding; its duration and allowance are confirmed before purchase.

Hand over whenever you are ready.

A rough direction is enough for the included handoff review. You can ask Benchmark to take over without finishing every page. Completion work starts only after you approve its separate quote.

The planned workspace will show remaining credits and explain actions before additional usage is approved. Additional personal assistance, design time or credits are quoted separately; no automatic overage charges. Workspace access and these onboarding tools are still in development.

A BUILD AROUND YOUR BUSINESS

Choose the features you want.

Shape the design and tell us what your website should do. Choose any combination below, or describe something unique. Benchmark reviews compatibility, recommends an approach and prices the complete scope before building.

Features to include in your build discussion

Select features to include with your inquiry.

Selections are a request for scope, not an order or price estimate. The $99 design-start fee does not include implementation of every selected feature. No charge is created here.

Usability & presentation

Navigation, mobile layouts, readability, visual consistency, accessibility screening and the path from first visit to inquiry.

Functionality & feasibility

Identify the forms, customer accounts, data storage, integrations and business workflows your design requires. Included features and supported platforms are defined in the build quote.

Readiness & validation

The approved build includes testing, a Benchmark launch validation report, prioritized corrections and one agreed recheck. We document what was verified and any remaining limitations.

What does the small fee include?

The planned fee covers a defined design period and credit allowance, plus the guided practice, one remote orientation of up to 15 minutes and the handoff design review. The $99 fee, duration, credits and export or handoff options will be confirmed before purchase. It does not include unlimited AI use or a completed website. Additional design time or credits require approval; there are no automatic overage charges.

What happens when I hand over my design?

Share your design link, available source or export files, business content and desired features. We check compatibility and explain any changes or rebuilding needed. The completion quote identifies the approved design, backend functions, revisions, testing, launch work and responsibilities. Changes outside that scope are agreed separately.

Can I design somewhere else?

Yes. Bring your existing design for review. Available source files, platform restrictions and asset permissions affect what can be reused. We confirm compatibility and the design-start scope before payment; a screenshot alone may require the interface to be rebuilt.

What costs are separate?

Backend and completion work are quoted after the design review. Domain registration, hosting, third-party services, ongoing support and any separately selected Studio or enhancement subscription are itemized separately. Design Start does not automatically enroll you in a recurring subscription.

How is this different from guided DIY or a full website package?

With Design Start, you shape the design and Benchmark completes the approved build. Guided Website Launch supports you while you build the website yourself. A full Benchmark website package assigns the agreed design and build work to Benchmark from the beginning.

What does validation cover?

We review the agreed scope using dated evidence, technical checks and human review. The report prioritizes corrections and clearly marks unverified items. One agreed recheck covers the scoped corrections. Accessibility screening is not certification, and validation does not guarantee rankings or sales. You approve publication before launch.

YOUR NEXT STEP
